Puff the Magic Dragon

Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee,
Little Jackie paper loved that rascal puff,
And brought him strings and sealing wax and other fancy stuff. oh

Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee,
Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee.

Together they would travel on a boat with billowed sail
Jackie kept a lookout perched on puffs gigantic tail,
Noble kings and princes would bow whenever they came,
Pirate ships would lower their flag when puff roared out his name. oh!

Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee,
Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee.

A dragon lives forever but not so little boys
Painted wings and giant rings make way for other toys.
One grey night it happened, Jackie paper came no more
And puff that mighty dragon, he ceased his fearless roar.

His head was bent in sorrow, green scales fell like rain,
Puff no longer went to play along the cherry lane.
Without his life-long friend, puff could not be brave,
So puff that mighty dragon sadly slipped into his cave. oh!

Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee,
Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee.

I heard this song while walking under a bridge in Central Park, NYC.
A lady was strumming her guitar, the bridge provided such great acoustics.
Reminded me of Aesop's Fables ...with a sad ending.

Did it!

When my bravado is tanked up, pixie cut! One day..:P for now, this is the shortest hair cut since primary school!

Contentment

Tis rare, A patient stopped me in my tracks.

I inquired whether there is anything else i can do for him.
He replied: " No, but you can help with answer a couple of questions. "
" Are you chinese? "
" Very much so. "
And the conversation flowed along the banks of chinese food, culture and language.
He paused and knew he kept me too long.
" Thank you for coming in with a smile everyday. I know you have a stressful job , but you always come in with a smile. "
:)

I was doctored :)

Big smiles

Saturdays

How could this be? Heavy eye lids on a blue bird day!

Hypertrophic osteopathy

A snap shot of the 'outside world' of Wishard Hospital in Winter.

I dreamt my usual vivid dreams. Rolled over and "thud".

Frowned then the reversed.

It's been years since i head-bumped the wall in my sleep :)

Sushi Week - Naked Chopstix, Ocean World and today, we shall grace Wasabi :) [ Thus far, Ocean World's spider roll is in the lead! ]

Weekend cook-ins

Our 1st attempt to make Beggar's Chicken. It seems similar to Emperor's chicken. Legend has it, a beggar found a chicken and add which ever herbs and spices he can get his hands on and cooked the chicken wrapped in clay. Now there are several versions and different stories told but I like this one better :)
Can't wait for next week!:)

Strolls

Paced down this quiet street whilst the silent snow flakes shimmer across my path.
Inspired after a visit to the local art centre :)
